I tried ebay, it said the laptop was refurbished but it came out scratched and old-looking. Does anyone know a good online store or walk-in store in chicago that sells used laptops?

I may wish to purchase a laptop for some friends and I am not against purchasing a used one; while I am not against it - I do realize that there can be significant risk in doing that. How aboput re-furbished ones? Or How to go about buying a used Laptop. I know some folks up grade, change their minds, etc.... There are many possible valid reasons to sell a used one, but the condition and price are certainly big concerns. Web sites? Tips? THX.

I'm in retail, wholesale, and export of used / pre-owned laptops in Houston, TX. I have many suppliers locally and some out of states, but I'm not very happy with some of them in terms of customer service and promises that do not deliver repeatedly. With that saying, I would like to meet new honest suppliers, or those who have access to used laptops on a regular basis. I do have sales tax permit, DBA, and all that. No scam! Thank you!

I'm in computer sales and supplies here in NIgeria. My aim is to buy fairly used laptops, particularly the Pentiums I and II, (and III, IV of course) for re-sale in Nigeria. The use of desktops have been hampered by the erratic power supply here. So we are trying to encourage the use of laptops.
